Hi, my name is Charlene and I’m the founder of fromcaterpillarstobutterflies.com. I’m a bit of a self improvement junkie. I love reading self help books, going to seminars, and in a nutshell growing.
In fact, I went to a personal development event a few weeks ago. Nearly 8,000 people were in attendance. However, I couldn’t help but to notice very few of my sisters were there. I noticed this trend before at other growth events I’ve participated in. I must say, I don’t like this trend.
So I came home and launched a survey. I asked black women, “What prevents you from investing in your personal growth?” The #1 answer? “I don’t know where to start.”
Well ladies, here is the solution. The Black Woman’s Guide to Personal Growth is where you start.
I believe the purpose of life is to grow. That’s why I named my site from caterpillars to butterflies. If a caterpillar can transform into a beautiful butterfly, what can you grow into?
What I think is remarkable about the caterpillar is that there is no such thing as not becoming a butterfly. If they live long enough they all do it. Every caterpillar becomes a butterfly.
Does every woman grow into her full potential? I think you’d agree with me that the answer is “no”. Maybe you’re feeling a bit like that yourself – like you’re not growing into your full potential.
It doesn’t have to be that way. You can grow and transform just like the caterpillar. It does take work on your end. This guide will get you started.
The other thing that I think is amazing about the caterpillar is that once she becomes a butterfly she can never go back to being a caterpillar again.
When you learn and grow and expand your awareness it stays with you. Regardless of what you do from here, even if you never touch another personal growth product you can never go back to being the exact same woman you were before this moment. That alone is worth following through and completing this guide!
