A Prayer to Be Unrivaled

No competition, No comparison, without rivals

Heavenly Father,

I know I am uniquely and wonderfully made. Thank you for designing me in my mother’s womb. Thank you for counting every hair on my head. Thank you for creating me in the likeliness and image of You, the perfect One. And thank you for equipping me with special gifts and talents. I know you have a purpose for my life. I know you intend for the gifts you’ve established in me to lead me to my purpose. No one can do what I can do, because they are not purposed to do it. Thank you that my gifts are all my own and that I don’t have to compete with anyone for anything.

Father, I pray in the moments that I forget that I am unrivaled that you would gently nudge me into remembrance. I pray the times I get distracted or confused believing I have to compete my way to my purpose you would bring me back to the truth that I have no rival. I ask that you’d put it in my heart to be a supporter of others, not a critic. I ask that you’d put it in my heart to be a collaborator and not a comparer. I pray that you’d surround me with supporters and collaborators as well.  I pray that I’d also know in the trenches of my soul that no one can compete with me and I can not (and should not) compete with anyone else.

I know that the dreams You’ve placed inside my heart are for the fulfillment of Your purpose and will for not just my life, but my generation as a whole. I know future generations will be shaped by the fulfillment of my purpose. I know I have everything I need to bring it to pass. You’ve withheld nothing. I know You are opening doors no man can shut. I believe that You are ordering my steps and directing my path. I believe my vision is yet for the appointed time – Your appointed time. With and in You I am able to do what I’ve been called to do.

Yet, I pray you’d help my unbelief. I pray that you’d give me the strength to live life from the truth that I have no rival. I pray that timidness and fear would have no place in my life, my career, my business, or my relationships. I pray that comparison and competition have no place in my heart or mind. Instead I pray confidence and courage would dwell inside of me.

Thank you for the powerful teachers (Lisa Bevere, Victoria Osteen, Lisa Comes, Aventer Gray and others) that feed Your word and glory into my life. I lift them up to you in prayer. Thank you for reminding me through them that I am unrivaled.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen
