39 One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 “And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”
Luke 23:39-43
This post isn’t meant to teach the bible. This post is meant to share a story of how this particular person made a transformation. He died a criminal but his soul was forever saved.
Jesus was hung on a cross between two criminals. One criminal mocked Him. The other criminal believed in Him. In some translations the criminals are called robbers or thieves. We don’t know exactly what they stole or how long they lived a life of crime. What we do know is that one “criminal” made a last minute decision as his life was ending to turn to God. Although he lost his life that day he was forever transformed in Paradise. That’s all it takes to change your self, your life, and your eternal destiny. One last minute decision.
What last minute, seemingly insignificant decision can you make today that will forever transform your life and your destiny?
