A Prayer to be more Hopeful

Dear Heavenly Father,

I’ve been living a hopeless life. “My hopes and dreams are fading fast and I don’t think my strengths going to last.” I’ve felt that song in heart for quite some time now. The things I hope and pray for are so elusive. I gave up on hope to keep my heart from breaking. But your word says:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jer 29:11)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13)

I know it is your will and it is pleasing to you that your children have hope. My prayer today is to have renewed hope. I pray to be full of hope. Help me to not give up on hope. Help me to not give up on the things I hope for. I fight so hard not to have hope. Just to except things as they are. I’m praying today for the future and the hope you planned for me. I’m praying for a strengthen heart that won’t easily break. I’m praying for a patient spirit that faints not.
