Do you believe in signs?
I think most people want to believe in signs. We want to know the future. We want to know if a dream or desire is worth the hope and anticipation we invest in it. The waiting and not knowing if we’re actually waiting for anything at all is heartbreaking. That’s why we’re so into psychics. We want to know! I personally have never visited a psychic but I often think I should. I don’t, because as a Christian I think it may be displeasing to God.
The truth is, even outside of speaking with a psychic I look for signs everywhere. Am I doing the right thing? Is that dream coming true or am I wasting my time? Wasting my hope. I still don’t know.
Why all this talk of signs? Well, I was walking back from a convenience store with my siblings and we came across a family of caterpillars! Was that a sign? Am I a caterpillar waiting to transform into a butterfly? Is this blog the exact thing I should be doing in my life at this moment? Was it just a coincidence? So many questions, so little answers. The strange thing about “signs”, at least when it comes to me is that I still don’t know what to believe.
Anywho, how interesting to meet with caterpillars on my way back from the store. I think I’ll believe it was a sign. A sign that I’m right where I need to be.
What about you? Do you believe in signs?
