A Prayer to Be More Courageous
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You today as humbly as I know how to ask for more courage and more strength. I know accomplishing Your will for me here on earth requires great courage. Sometimes, (actually a lot of times) I’m too afraid to move my feet. Sometimes I’m too afraid to stand up for what’s right, to speak out in opposition or to say what I really think. Sometimes I settle for less than I want and less than I deserve because I lack courage. Help me to find strength and courage in You. Help me to live bravely and courageously. Your word says to be of good courage. Guide me towards a life of good courage. I pray that you give me the courage to be the person that I really am in You. I ask that You give me courage to admit when I’m wrong. Give me the courage to fix things when they fall apart and to face life when it gets hard. Please give me courage to push towards what’s right and to follow my every dream. Help me to be so courageous that it gives other people permission to live courageously as well.
