A Prayer to be more Gracious

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the grace you have bestowed upon me. Thank you for the undeserved favor you continue to show me. I pray to give grace the way grace is given to me. Sometimes I feel that if I give to others I will be at a disadvantage. Sometimes I ask, “but what about me?” Help me not to think that way. Help me to be generous not only in tangible things like money and gifts, but also in love, peace, and respect.  Help me to be generous in smiles and hugs. Show me how to be a generous person. Show me how to be a gracious person. Help to give freely, unexpectedly, and without regard to what is or isn’t deserved. I pray for the grace to do good to and by everyone I come across. I pray to be a blessing to those you would have me bless.
