Video: Your Potential Is Limitless When You Embrace Personal Growth
I believe that a lot of people are held back from living the life they desire, the life they deserve, because of things that are changeable. A lack of confidence in yourself and your abilities is changeable. Feeling insecure is changeable. Feelings of shame, regret, and resentfulness are all changeable. The things that are holding you back are changeable. They are not permanent. I believe fiercely that there is no reason to stay stuck and dissatisfied with life over things you can change.
The reason a lot of people stay stuck is because they are reluctant to acknowledge that they have remove to grow. It takes great courage to be vulnerable in that way. We’ve been conditioned to believe that if we are less than perfect we are essentially inadequate and flawed. So we keep our imperfections and weaknesses to ourselves, never growing through them.
I remember my director at my first job out of college asked me once if I needed help with networking. (Clearly I did, hence him asking). My reply was, “Yes, everyone does.” I couldn’t say, “yes, that’s a growth opportunity for me”. I made it okay to admit that I was weak in that area by saying it was a weakness for everyone.
You are not inadequate or flawed because you are not perfect. You are not inadequate or flawed because of your past or your present. You will always have room to grow. When you embrace those growth opportunities your potential is limitless.
I believe everything you want, everything that I want is on the other side of growth. Personal growth. At the core, I believe that the purpose of life is to grow.
